We provide driver service, accommodation, and parking spaces

You can leave the organization of your trip and accommodation to us. If you are arriving by plane, we can send a driver to meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation and our clinic. If you are arriving by car, there is free parking available in front of the clinic. Do not worry about accommodation – we have arranged your stay at the Prezident Hotel, where you will have a pleasant and comfortable stay.

First check-up and dental scan

When you come to our clinic, the first thing we do is a dental scan. We offer 3D dental scanning, which is necessary if you plan to get implants. After that, the doctor analyzes the scan and talks to you. We go through the treatment plan in detail, explaining the types of temporary and permanent teeth you can get, from which materials, and in what time frame.

Implant placement

Implant placement can be completed in one day per jaw. Even if the patient has teeth that need to be extracted, we usually complete the extraction and implant placement during one visit per jaw, regardless of the number of implants to be placed.

If the 3D scan shows there is not enough bone in the upper jaw, we perform a sinus lift procedure with artificial bone grafting. Most often, we perform both the sinus lift and implant placement on the same day.

When four implants are placed in an edentulous jaw, there is a possibility that both jaws can be completed in one visit, i.e., four implants can be placed in both the upper and lower jaws in one day. This depends on the patient’s condition and how they tolerate the procedure. If the patient stays with us for about seven days, we advise not to do both jaws on the same day.

During the first conversation, it is necessary to inform us if you are taking any medication. If the patient is taking blood thinners, special preparation is required. For certain heart conditions, it is necessary to start antibiotic therapy before the procedure.

Temporary teeth fabrication

In the case of edentulous jaws or if we extracted all remaining teeth during the procedure, we move on to the fabrication of temporary teeth. If the implants are stable enough, which is usually the case, we make fixed temporary teeth. These are screwed onto the implants and made of acrylic, a lightweight material with internal metal reinforcement.

It takes five days to fabricate these teeth, which we emphasize to the patient during the first conversation. Immediately after implant placement, we take an impression. It is advisable for the patient to stay in Novi Sad or the surrounding area during these five days, as they will need to visit the clinic several times before the teeth are ready.

With these teeth, the patient can chew food and speak normally, which is the best option while waiting for permanent teeth. The patient can quickly return to their professional and private obligations.

The exception is cases where a sinus lift procedure is performed. Implants placed in the sinus are not stable enough, so we cannot make fixed temporary teeth. In such cases, the only option is complete dentures.

If the patient has previously worn complete dentures, they can continue to wear them while waiting for permanent teeth. However, after the procedure, they will have swelling for a few days and will not be able to use the dentures. In such cases, it is not necessary to make fixed temporary teeth.

An alternative is complete dentures as a temporary solution. The problem with dentures is that we cannot take an impression while there is swelling in the mouth, which can last about seven days. After that, it takes another seven days to make the denture. The patient needs to know this for taking free days.

Complete dentures usually need to be fixed with adhesives purchased at pharmacies.

If you are missing only a few teeth, there is a possibility of making temporary teeth. This usually involves situations where the patient is missing one or more teeth in the front part of the jaw. We take an impression immediately after implant placement, and the temporary teeth are screwed onto the implants within a few days.

Permanent teeth fabrication

Permanent teeth are made three to six months after implant placement. It is necessary to contact us one month before you get free days to come to Novi Sad. This is important for organizing your accommodation and coordinating with our dental laboratory.

Usually, during the first visit, the patient decides what kind of permanent teeth they want. This is the best option for us because we know in advance what we are doing and can inform the dental lab. We then tell the patient how many days they need to stay in Novi Sad. The patient can decide later, but it is important to inform us during the conversation.

If the patient has a limited number of free days and does not inform us in time about the type of teeth they have chosen, it may happen that we do not complete the teeth fabrication during their stay in Novi Sad. Therefore, it is essential to agree on everything in advance.
